minimum education
bachelor's degree or amt certified preferred
if not amt certified, must have an associates degree in laboratory science or at least 60 semester hours (sh) 24 of those sh must be in science and must include 6 sh chemistry, 6 sh biology and 12 sh of chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology in any combination.
required skills
requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. at least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity training.
