supervisor is responsible for communicating with employees to gain ideas and resolve problems to improve safety, processes and quality with in motion business area in westville, ohio.



this position reports to

production manager



your responsibilities

coach employees for continuous individual improvement, help in implementing productivity improvement projects, generate daily production reports and oversee training for your department, including manufacturing, safety, osha, environmental, lean.conduct employee meetings to update on daily production/ quality/ safety requirementsgood analytic problem solving skills.ability to help develop and maintain training matrix for your departmentwork closely with other departments to meet on-time delivery goalsknowledgeable of machining or assembly or winding or warehouse operationsability to effectively communicate information in a positive waywork hours as needed to meet customer demandsability to lift 40 lbs., occasionallymust be flexible and able to work multiple shiftsable to travel occasionally (10% annually).must be able to stand or walk for most of shift



your background

high school diploma/ged and minimum 4 years experience or associate’s degree and minimum 2 years experience or bachelor’s degree.microsoft office and excel knowledge a plus.proven track record of success and continuous improvement - good to have.must understand the importance of safety in the workplace and drive this through productive training and behaviorscandidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the usa
