job description overview:

under the leadership of the national director provider enrollment-regional operations, the director of provider enrollment's primary responsibilities are to lead the regional enrollment team(s) in all provider enrollment efforts, ensure adherence to provider enrollment policy & processes with emphasis on reducing cycle time and revenue risk in support of department and organizational goals. provider enrollment is an integral part of a successful revenue cycle operation and the organization's ability to meet financial goals, impact patient satisfaction, and client retention.

essential duties and responsibilities:

continuously evaluate and strategize to reduce (or maintain optimal low balances) in provider enrollment arinitiates and completes senior level escalations to remove obstacles in enrollment activities and reduce/prevent revenue riskcompiles and provides verbal and written senior level status reports on routine and ad hoc basisidentifies and directs ad hoc projects and process improvementsassesses and mitigates risks in all areas of business processes and business relationshipsapproves and/or obtains approval of write offs as appropriate once all avenues of revenue recovery have been exhaustedensures that start up related activities are managed effectivelycontributes to strategic planning of national departmentsets and directs priorities and long/short term departmental goals for the regional team(s)analyzes reports to determine if resources need to be re-allocated or expandedmonitors managerial enforcement of data integrity in enrollment database and claims management systemsserve as authorized official (when applicable) and qa group applications when completing ao signaturesmanages direct personnel, reviews/approves time cards, provides coaching, guidance, and career developmentcollaborate with peers and business partners to achieve standardization in provider enrollment processes and those processes affecting provider enrollment from upstream/downstream partnersfacilitate regular departmental meetings, one on one meetings with individual staff, and skip rounding with indirect reportsresponsible for workplace safety as applicable, particularly for ensuring that public health protocols are adhered to when on-site at times when such protocols are being enforced by the organizationtimely approval of invoices, receipts, etcother duties as assigned



qualifications / experience:

advanced degree preferredprevious related healthcare experienceprevious management experienceexcellent organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities successfullyexcellent verbal and written communication skillsability to work autonomouslyability to work with confidential information and use discretionability to coordinate and meet deadlines and deal with stressful situationsability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptionsability to problem solve, make decisions, and effectively communicateability to work productively within a team.
