pay rate: $18.94/hr

this position is accountable for operating equipment that mixes and grinds liquids and other materials used to manufacture paint and coatings. this position directly impacts the quality and quantity of product produced.

major tasks include:
•prebatch and ticket inspection
•operate all drop stations and meters (water, tio2, slurry, etc.)
•measure tanks for yield, follow directions on batch slip, and monitor batch until proper grind or mix is obtained
•safe operation of equipment including forklifts, drum handling equipment, and battery chargers
•clean vessels, lines, and other equipment used in the process
•advocate and practice the principals of the safety program
•participate in housekeeping activities indicative of a safe and clutter free work environment

basic qualifications:
•must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in english
•must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status
•must be at least 18 years of age
•must have access to reliable transportation to and from work
•must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

preferred qualifications:
•one year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred
•experience watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly is preferred
•experience blending and making a product in a batch process is preferred
•experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods is preferred
