Compliance coordinator-licensing - united states, lashkar gah


sunpro solar is looking for a compliance coordinator. in this role, you will report to the expansion supervisor and will be responsible for supporting the expansion supervisor in research, development, and compliance regarding state rebate programs, utility rebate programs, jurisdictional permitting, and licensing. this is a fully remote position.

responsibilities:

* determine licensing/registration requirements for local jurisdictions by researching the jurisdiction website, calling the jurisdiction and/or emailing the jurisdiction.
* complete applications as necessary once the correct type of licenses/registrations have been determined that need to be applied for.
* set up portals and apply for licenses/registration online as needed.
* add new jurisdictions to the license and registration database to include the jurisdiction name, type of license, qualifier, fees due, documents needed to make application, jurisdiction website, jurisdiction phone number, jurisdiction contact, jurisdiction email address and jurisdiction street address. all notes regarding the application need to be added to the license and registration database as the process goes forward until the license/registration is approved/issued.
* update salesforce with notes to communicate with the permitting team and others as to the status of the license/registration.
* request certificates of insurance as needed from our insurance agent(s) to submit with license/registration applications.
* request bonds from our bond agent for license/registration applications that need a bond to be submitted with the application.
* collect all documents needed to apply for a license/registration and submit to the jurisdiction either by email or mail.
* follow up with the jurisdiction to determine if anything additional is needed for the license/registration to be processed and the payment has been received. determine an eta for the license/registration to be completed/issued.
* scan in issued licenses/registrations and save to the appropriate state folder.
* work closely with other departments to help with their licensing/registration requests and issues that may come up with licensing/registration. these departments include state licensing, permitting, utilities, hoa, scheduling and inspections.
* work closely with the inspections departments to update certificates of insurance with jurisdictions so inspections can be scheduled.
* troubleshoot issues with licensing/registrations once they have been approved/issued for different departments in the company.
* handle all license/registration renewals before licenses/registrations reach their expiration date. includes completing applications and sending them in with checks for payment.
* if the company qualifier changes, determine what steps need to be taken with the jurisdiction to determine how to change the qualifier and if any current/open permits will be affected.
* coordinate with territory operations managers and coordinators if additional information is needed for individual electricians to submit license/registration applications.
* prior to beginning to sell in a new area, contact the jurisdictions to determine what is needed to be able to be licensed there and apply for any licenses/registration as needed.
* coordinate with qualifiers if they need to apply/renew and license/registration in person in a local jurisdiction and also coordinate to get original signatures for applications if necessary.
* coordinate with permit pc’s to possibly send in permit applications/paperwork with license/registration paperwork if the jurisdiction requires a simultaneous submittal.
* occasionally help out with permitting issues that permit pc’s have not come across before (cash performance bonds).
* if any additional information is found out from jurisdictions while talking to the building department/inspectors/utility department, forward that information to the appropriate person in the compliance department or in the design department.
required skills/experience:
