provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice within the emergency services departments

minimum education
associate’s degree in nursing or rn diploma - required
minimum education
bachelor’s degree in nursing - preferred
required skills
requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. computer proficiency required.
required skills
certifications:
o bls certification from approved american heart association training center required to be current upon hire.
o acls & pals certifications from approved american heart association training center required within 6 months of employment.
o tncc certification preferred

licenses: state of tennessee or multi-state registered nurse licensure – required
minimum work experience
1 year of emergency services nursing, aemt, paramedic or military medic experience - preferred
