starr regional medical center, part of lifepoint health, is a two-hospital system with campuses in athens and etowah. the athens campus provides inpatient and outpatient services through its 118-bed acute care facility and physician practices. starr regional medical center's etowah campus is home to an emergency department, outpatient services, an 88-bed skilled and long-term care nursing home, a senior care program and wound care center. 

our athens campus is currently seeking talent to fill the position of day shift registered nurse in our women’s services department. this job is permanent, full-time.

provides for the individual rights of patients. directs / provides for appropriate assessment / re-assessment of patients. plans and provides appropriate nursing care based on the individual patient's assessed needs. provides healthcare education to patients and/or families. provides continuity of care by enlisting the services of other healthcare team members. manages patient care to ensure safety and minimize risk to the patient, family, and the organization. manages time and supplies effectively. communicates and documents pertinent information to all appropriate individuals in the continuum of care. demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to national patient safety goals and core measures.

qualifications:

rn licensure in the state of tennessee required bls is required through american heart association or american red cross at the time of hire. women's, pediatric, and nursery experience preferred critical thinking skills required
