work closely with the human resources business partner to ensure the team is integrated and aligned with business unit/program objectives. the focus will be on delivering high quality, seamlessly integrated support for the business, systems, the employees, and managers. this person will be responsible for not only delivering hr products and services but also interfacing with candidates, employees, and managers to improve the employee experience. you will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day activities and administrative operations of the human resources department. you will support hr initiatives and projects for a small, hands-on hr team. the successful candidate will support an array of hr functions, including hris systems, recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, administrative support, and organizing and coordinating special projects and other day-to-day responsibilities to deliver high quality services. problem solving and decision-making skills, strong follow-through, self-initiative and a strong sense of ownership and exceptional communication skills will enable your success in this role. essential functions: help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and employee training programs serve as a back-up liaison for employee questions and support to hr business partners support off boarding of employees within computer systems as well as coordination with various internal departments assist with data entry for background checks, employee changes and any hr systems data entry/ oracle fusion system administer volunteer time off (vto) tracking administer pmp program/tracking utilize hr metrics and people data to drive solutions administer human resources programs, systems, and processes take responsibility for the development of own capability, supported by hr business partner(s) and for sharing ideas for continuous improvement in the function serve as training coordination for siemens government technologies organization – coordinating on-site events as well as tracking and coordination with siemens corporate learning management system complete purchase requisitions as needed for hr department support incentive compensation administration and tracking organize and maintain employee personnel records keep all bulletin boards up to date and compliant ensuring compliance with applicable hr laws and best practices support the gathering and data analysis of hr metrics as required by leadership assist with various ad-hoc human resources projects and perform other duties as assigned in supporting the human resources department skills and competencies: 3-5 years’ experience supporting human resources department b.s. in business administration, psychology, human resources, or related equivalent experience have demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization and time management and decision-making skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information solid communication skills to effectively communicate with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts proven ability to provide exceptional customer service with internal and external contacts ability to handle dotted line management tasking to other staff within human resources working knowledge of hr processes, procedures, organization, and tools proficient microsoft office – excel and power point assist and/or lead with planning events for hr team and/or events sponsored by hr (i.e. training/lunch-n-learns) support team development and revisions of standard operating procedures for internal hr and corporate wide policies/procedures 2+ years’ experience using hris and recruiting systems with strong proficiency and adaptability to new systems strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and follow-up skills 2-5 years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement experience collaborating across organizational boundaries to ensure alignment and deliver an integrated final product experience working on a cross-functional team excellent working knowledge of word, excel and powerpoint to
