what you get to do every single day
- harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
- categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
- post financial information to journals and ledgers
- support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, a/p invoice matching & filing
- general accounting: help with g/l account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- work with accounts receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
- ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical- aa or bs/ba in accounting or related field preferred
- outstanding data entry skills
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- candidates with spreadsheet and erp system experience will be prioritized
- proficiency in invoice payment
- basic math skills experience required
- process vendor invoices experience
- basic math skills experience desired
