the technical operations field supervisor/engineer position

sunnova energy is currently searching for a technical operations field supervisor/engineer to be responsible for supporting sunnova’s dealer network and internal stakeholders. this individual will assist with technology diligence, provide training where applicable, and track dealer performance analytics. 

technical operations field supervisor/engineer  responsibilities

assists partners and internal teams with the designing, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of  electric and solar energy storage systemsprovides training to partners, internal staff, and customers on new & existing evaluates storage installations to ensure they meet company’s quality standards documents control of all pertinent filesstays up -o-date on technical knowledge and participates in educational trainings for new technologiesdevelops positive and professional relationships with all channel partners, customers, and internal sunnova personnelevaluates quality assurance inspections, documents corrective actions, and ensures completion of corrective items within reasonable timelinesevaluates storage systems performance and provides solutions and/or ideas on how to improve a system’s performancemaintains technology with testing and best due diligence practicesprovides support during post-weather events where damage to grid or customer pv/storage systems occurs

minimum requirements

bs in electrical engineering or licensed electrician3 years’ experience in the solar electric industryability to travel within a week’s noticeexperience with the national electrical codemust possess a current, valid driver’s license

preferred qualifications

3+ years’ experience in the solar electric industry3+ years’ management / account management experienceknowledge in electric vehicle charging, standby generators, and energy storage systemskeen knowledge of residential electrical distribution means and methodsexperience in photovoltaics, energy storage, residential/commercial electrical, management, and project planning

additional knowledge, skills and abilities

read & interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagramsproficiency in microsoft office suite experience with a customer relationship management (crm) systems

working conditions

remote work from home office occasional overtime may be required to meet company deadlines30% to 40% travel

physical requirements

lift up to 50 lbs.
