electronic technician will use a soldering gun and do light electronic and circuit board assembly.

primary responsibilities

working with team, will train on preparing and placing electronic components within a variety of devices. plans and performs work requiring knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of
various materials, and operation of associated equipment. neatly solder, route and terminate wiring in a variety of applications. operate drills, saws, presses, lathes, mills, or other equipment to assemble, fabricate or modify parts as needed. effectively communicate engineering or manufacturing issues with others. perform other job-related duties as assigned

knowledge and skill requirements

ability to assemble component parts according to mechanical prints and electrical schematics. ability to problem solve and analyze situations, utilizing decision making skills. neatness and attention to detail. teamwork and strong orientation skills. proficient in reading and understanding mechanical prints and electrical schematics. proficient with all common hand tools and measuring equipment. proficient with soldering. experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
