job functions / responsibilities

•    work closely with project managers to ensure capital project budgets are appropriate and in accordance with the capitalization policy
•    ensure timely and accurate set up of fixed assets 
•    prepare monthly forecast of project spending and fixed asset depreciation
•    review staffing requests and purchase requests related to capital projects
•    analyze and process intercompany transactions related to capital projects
•    responsible for the accuracy of capital spending reconciliation
•    prepare month-end and quarter-end closing tasks including journal entries and reporting
•    perform account reconciliations and analysis
•    participate in internal control and sarbanes-oxley testing
•    complete special projects, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as assigned


qualifications


•    bs / ba in accounting or finance
•    cpa or master's degree preferred
•    minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
•    excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus
•    strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities
•    self-starter
•    outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
•    ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated and work as part of a team
•    sap experience preferred
•    proficient in microsoft office
