concrete quality assurance
prefabricated building system manufacturer that specializes in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced quality assurance personnel that can immediately contribute to increasing capacity within our concrete department.
general job description:
• follow guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• verify information on blueprints are correct for mold setup
• conduct quality checks during various steps of mold setter to verify all forms are correct prior to pouring, while pouring, after pouring, during erection, and any other time during the process.
• conduct concrete lab tests to ensure to standards and quality are met
o following the npca (national pre-cast concrete associate) and aci (american
concrete institute) policies, standards, and regulations
• perform additional tasks as instructed by supervisor including clean-up and housekeeping tasks
requirements:
• bachelor’s degree or above preferred
• valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• ability to perform job specific physical requirements under the specified working conditions including, but not limited to:
o willing to work on knees and lifting 50lbs
• ability to expertly read tape measure and blueprints
• attention to extreme details
• understanding of concrete standards within npca and aci are preferred
• willing to perform any assigned task and self-sufficient and self-motivated
• reliable and timely transportation
o strict start of day at 7:00 am (occasional needed earlier)
• willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends
o ability to stay until tasks are finished properly – flexible end of day (jobs may require
staying past 4:30 pm)
