this job will have the following responsibilities:
supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on airborne isr platforms. must demonstrate the ability to lead a diverse team of technical subject matter experts and engineering disciplines
understand architectures incorporating isr or comms systems capabilities across multiple security domains (eo/ir systems, elint, comint, sigint, communications, data links, radar systems, self protect systems) experience with the one or more of the following areas is required: systems engineering; hardware development; software development; aero design – (electrical; mechanical; structural); leadership - task or ipt leader and/or functional management must be able to effectively interface with project engineers, program management and customers.must have a strong set of core competencies including problem solving, team leadership, strategic thinking / planning, communication, ipt / cross functional behavior, accountability, critical thinking, and the highest level of ethical conduct. support business development through support for competitive proposal efforts review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements understand test, integration, verification, and validation planningunderstand faa and military airworthiness requirements perform requirement traceabilitydevelop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completenesswrite subsystem specifications based on system level requirements evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designsreview and evaluate diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements qualifications & requirements: bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or other related degree and nine (9) years of applicable experience. a combination of education and experience may also be considered. position requires an active dod secret security clearance, which requires us citizenshiphands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardwareaircraft isr or comms system integration and communications ground/flight test support knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose knowledge of the systems engineering trade study processexperience writing subsystem specifications based on system level requirements experience conducting verification testing
