lucas group has partnered with our client in on their search for production supervisors for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.**seeking candidates with a military background**

scope of responsibilities:

the production supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in order to ensure our productivity and business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. the daily operations include the supervision and training of production employees, controlling costs and managing the quality in adherence with established site standards.responsibilities: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. other duties may be assigned.•    provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations in a manufacturing setting.•    ensure production lines have the appropriate staffing level and lines are running to setup rates to meet or exceed production goals. •    plan daily production activities to meet customer delivery dates. •    monitor production and manpower levels within area of responsibility to ensure continued efficiency while anticipating problems and assisting with developing contingencies to address issues or production needs. •    ensure process compliance and good manufacturing processes (gmps) are followed.•    ensure a safe workplace for employees by proactively addressing any issues. address hazards, deviations and injuries in a timely manner.•    identify and address product quality issues and continually look for ways to improve processes at the plant. •    review and maintain time records for employees. •    handle routine personnel issues including training, adherence to company policy, coaching and counseling.•    participate in hiring and training new employees on job expectations.•    encourage and participate in employee career development.qualifications:•    3-5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.•    high school diploma or ged is required.•    strong written and oral communication skills. •    demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate employees.•    knowledge of safety standards and ability to train employees on site safety.•    proficient in microsoft office.•    prior experience with hiring employees, training and performance management. •    ability to address employee complaints, in conjunction with hr. •    ability to multi-task and problem solve, while maintaining a clear sense of priorities and focus. •    possess a continuous improvement mentality. •    ability to promote cohesiveness among team members.
