summary of role:
the fab9 engineering group is seeking a skilled and motivated level 2 aws process technician (night shift) to become part of our 200mm fabricator team in essex, vt. this technician position is aws shift covering processes in buildings 970 & 973.
this position will be required to sustain and improve engineering module processes/equipment on the factory floor. globalfoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. cross-coverage with other processes may be required based on the needs of the business as well as running tools from time to time. technician positions are hourly shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. globalfoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.
essential responsibilities include:
responsible for engineering module processes across all tool types react to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment to disposition hardware in a timely manner (move hold lots) and reduce quality and production impact perform established standard work such as following corrective actions, recovering product from process / tool interruptions (including crash sheets, visual inspections), process window experiments, tool/process quals, etc. recommend improvements in standard work to optimize flow, quality and cost as evidenced by sustained improvement in ooc, alarm reductions, error-proofing, etc. operate engineering module equipment, including writing recipes and endpoint algorithms run tools including quals if needed in periods of low mfg staffing or other unique situations perform engineering experiments and drive does (design of experiments) for sustaining & development. ability to manage multiple tasks and help team to prioritize workload and projects effectively communicate critical information to the 24x7 teams ability to maintain composure in stressful environment exchange detailed engineering module information with internal colleagues and others as appropriate identify chronic problems and communicate to lead technicians/process engineer evaluates and identifies/drive solutions, considering implications to upstream and downstream processes understand and follow all health, safety, iso, environmental and globalfoundries policies and procedures complete all required reporting and documentationother responsibilities:

high school degree (or equivalent), 2-year technical degree is preferred fluent in english language – written & verbal engineering module process experience ability to work the 12 hours aws night schedule able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements able to wear all required clean room protective clothing & equipment able to perform work in a standing position and walk between b973 and b970 demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipment demonstrated ability to follow & create detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks strong team player with ability to work well within a global teampreferred qualifications:
