manufacturing client in leesburg, fl is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic who will assist with the ongoing development of maintenance programs such as rwp (reliability workflow process), pmo (preventive maintenance optimization) and pdm (predictive maintenance). also, organize and perform proactive service, repairs, troubleshooting and overhauls to production related equipment and processing systems in a manner that ensures safety, reliability, and housekeeping standards are met. starting pay is $24.00/hour.

what you will do:
* execute complex repairs and major overhauls to system components, and associated equipment, utilizing original equipment manufacturers recommendations and specifications
* perform the required maintenance to ensure the facility and equipment are operating correctly.
* provide mechanical and technical guidance and expertise to level 1 technicians to continually improve the education, experience and skill set within the department (to each/coach/mentor).
* conduct predictive maintenance inspections using predictive technologies like vibration analysis, ultrasonic, oil analysis, thermography.
* perform all maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
* replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts.
* utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
* perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
* respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
* perform preventive maintenance (pm) activities per preventive maintenance plan.
* record activities in the cmms

what you bring to the job:
* two to five of mechanical/electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
* high school diploma or general education certification.
* basic computer skills
* cmrt (certified maintenance and reliability technician) highly preferred
* vibration iso level 1 preferred
* ue (ultrasonic) level 1 preferred
* mlt1 (machinery lubrication technician 1) preferred
* ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the english language.
* proficient in performing equipment preventive maintenance.
* able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
* knowledgeable of osha regulations.
* ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment, and have a strong attention to detail.
* lean 5s and/or other six sigma experience is a plus.
* dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential.
* ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.).
