as procurement manager, you play a key role on the controller’ s office team. some of your responsibilities include the following:
create, issue, and communicate to stakeholders all purchase orders and change ordersmanage vendor relations, support competitive bidding processes, and mitigate riskfacilitate the contracting functions of the organizationassist in the preparation of the quarterly and management reports, annual audits, and required filingsadminister and supervise the campus purchase card program
your work will involve communication across campus departments where you’ ll create relationships and optimize the procurement process. in addition, a part of your role includes support to the director in auxiliary services, where you’ ll assist in various key strategic initiatives.
procurement manager requirements
associate degree (bachelor’ s preferred)at least 3 years of relevant experience in procurementexcellent customer service and communication skillsadvanced proficiency in excel along with proficiency in google and office softwareanalytical approach to solving complex problemsworkday experience a plus (including punch-out and catalog management)
