what we need:

our ideal candidate is someone in a sr. account role looking to take that next step in your career to that of a controller. this position will report directly to the cfo and will lead all accounting and finance operations. you will be expected to exhibit the highest professional standards, ethical principles, and attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc accounting support functions.


what you’ll do:

the controller will be a leader in the business and represent the financial and accounting interests of the company as we move forward with upgrading or replacing our erp as well as evaluating operational processes. you must be comfortable in a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on role. this is a fast-paced environment that offers significant growth opportunities. manage month-end close activities, including prepaid, fixed assets, and accruals perform monthly account reconciliations and monthly/quarterly variance analysis perform weekly cash reconciliations prepare journal entries, review general ledger accounts, and prepare reconciliations in accordance with us gaap manage corporate expense reporting system reporting and reconciliations prepare and record monthly intercompany entries support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of financial statements in accordance with us gaap assist with the preparation of audit schedules, compliance reports and or other ad hoc reports in respective areas of responsibilities recommends new approaches, policies, processes, and procedures to affect continual improvement and efficiency of services provided by accounting. conduct ad hoc financial/operational analysis as required assist with other accounting/finance projects as necessary


about you:

you understand the importance of the role's accountabilities and responsibilities. you have high attention to detail and take pride in doing things right and are capable of deftly managing many moving parts. you keep calm in the face of chaos, change, and pressure. experience and/or desire to lead others. proactive by nature and highly skilled in day-to-day accounting functions. post-secondary education in accounting; a minimum of 3 years’ related accounting experience; strong general ledger. strong data analysis, investigative and problem-solving skills erp experience
