position summary:
this position is responsible for gathering and developing intelligence of demand patterns across the various sales channels within the mitsubishi electric trane us family of customers. the demand intelligence leader will liaison with the many business units within metus, both in the residential and commercial business entities, to understand emerging opportunities for sales growth within the channels, including entrenched distribution as well as emerging opportunities to grow additional channels of distribution. of primary importance for this leader will be to feed the information in consumable format to the supply planning team at metus, so that appropriate levels of inventory can be planned and purchased ahead of the demand.
the position will also liaison with metus marketing to identify opportunities to promote and advertise products aligned with the metus growth plan and available inventory levels.
reporting to the demand intelligence leader will the distributor analyst.
the essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
construct, develop, and manage the process to gather demand patterns and intelligence from the field generate key sales and inventory data/trends on a recurring basis to share with senior management (for business planning purposes) and with the supply planning team (to adequately plan and purchase inventory) work closely with product planning and sales during new product introduction and manage smooth transition of model changes (phase in/out) to protect service levels to customers as well as minimize obsolete inventory; work with these teams to obtain critical insight of product needs and ensure that these needs are fulfilled through the development process, including but not limited t) performance specifications, quality, scheduling, and cost related issues identification the need for special offerings to our customers that might require new sources of supply for parts and accessories meet regularly with senior leadership to report status of emerging demand patterns and metus' ability to satisfy such demand build sufficient relationships with the business units and channel partners in order to become their advocate and voice for needs that are present and emerging in their respective businesses perform other job functions and special projects as assigned remote work allowed, but preferred location is suwanee, ga must be able to travel 50% of the timeeducation/experience/training:
4 year college degree in business administration or related field is required 10+ years' experience in sales (preferred), forecasting, or demand generation excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary, as this person will interface with senior & executive management, customers & distributors, and other metus functions strong analytical capabilities and the ability to extract data from multiple sources to develop insights to new and growing opportunities ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to daily changes in demand patterns must be a self-starter, team player, results oriented, and work with minimum oversight proficient in ms office applications (excel, powerpoint, word, outlook). prior experience in the metus family of customers and distributors is a plusabout mitsubishi electric trane hvac us
