job goal:
to assist in performing all duties associated with the efficient functioning of the athletics department.
 
qualifications: associates degree and/or two years of work experience as an administrative assistant in the school setting preferred. knowledge of student information system  must pass a background clearance. must obtain an arizona ivp fingerprint clearance card highly proficient computer skills to include email, spreadsheets, etc. exceptional organizational skills. excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with proficiency in grammar and proofreading. ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. ability to work with minimal supervision.
term of employment:  261 days (12 months)
compensation:  $18.47 - $21.96
benefits:  as per district policy
reports to:  associate superintendent
hours: 40 hours per week
classification:  hourly, non-exempt

 

performance responsibilities:

 

responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  greet all visitors courteously, determine their needs, check appointments and direct or escort them to proper person. serve as administrative assistant to the athletic director perform a variety of administrative duties involving typing and transcribing, correspondence, memoranda and written materials. answer office telephone and respond appropriately to request for information. report immediately any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors. maintain appointment book and make appointments for athletic director. schedule appointments and meetings and maintain a calendar for school activities.  performs other duties as assigned by the athletic director or principal.
