what is the job?
* ability to effectively manage time, staff and prioritize tasks
* lead and work with positivity and energy
* perform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
* dispose of garbage, recycle, clean rooms and common areas, restock dispensers, and be able to safely use chemicals, supplies, equipment, and tools
* be able to workdays when the head custodian is off
* be able to operate commercial mowing equipment safely and responsibly
* organize, move, and set up furniture and equipment for normal school operations and special events
* identify, repair, or report safety, mechanical, and staff issues
* communicate and work effectively with teachers, students, administrators, and members of the public
what do you bring to the job?
* you should be knowledgeable of janitorial equipment and supplies, and their proper use.
* you will need to be able to use simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
* you must be physically and mentally able to perform all duties.
* you must be trustworthy and able to work with very limited supervision.
* be able to operate commercial mowing equipment safely and responsibly.
