job summary:
the assistant electrical detailer will function as a member of a technical team alongside designers, engineers, and project managers within the substation department by contributing to the planning and design efforts associated with electrical outage sequencing within the electrical utility industry. this job will also require the creation and revision of technical drawings with the use of autocad.
responsibilities: assist with design, scheduling, and documentation practices required for the creation and modification of network outage plans. assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. responsible for adhering to company and client standards. assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail software. assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers. all other duties as assigned.
basic qualifications: minimum associate’s degree in cad related program. proficient in autocad 2 years minimum experience in the substation industry self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field excellent verbal and written communication skills strong problem solving and analytical skills basic knowledge and experience in microsoft office programs, including, word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
