position summary:
this position is responsible for scheduling and production planning scheduling process across one or more manufacturing facilities.
essential duties & responsibilities
conform to defined processes within the manufacturing planning department, plants, and business units to maintain data integrity as it relates to the planning process. compile schedules for material/capacity planning as well as financial planning/ forecasting. participate in sales planning, assist with setting priorities when demand exceeds capacity. maintain and update capacity data weekly for all critical plant resources/work centers. work closely with engineering, project management, materials management and production to coordinate a supply plan that aligns capacity with demand. provide analysis and package maintenance/development in the s&op process ensure all change orders are accounted for in the labor hours assigned to the project and production schedule is updated accordingly analyze the schedule to ensure maximum efficiencies are met. measure, track, and communicate key performance metrics perform “shop walk-thru” to verify validity of schedule create work orders ensuring material availability is at 85% or above beforehand provides problem-solving support to the continuous improvement / oracle development teams. participate in and lead continuous improvement projects participates in generation of shop monthly build plan and ensure the execution of the plan through the area managers and sourcing department anticipate flow path problems/constraints, capacity limitations, provide and implement resolutions identify the need to outsource any job and facilitate the activity through sourcing department after approval requires employee to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.required education
high school diplomapreferred education
bachelor’s degreerequired experience & skills
strong verbal and written communications skills strong ability to read, write, speak and understand english exceptional analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills proficient in microsoft office, excel, word, outlook, etc. proficient in oracle, oracle asap, and mrp 2 years of experience in a production planning/ master scheduling rolepreferred experience & skills
