job description:
as the business manager / demand manager (anzp) for building construction products (bcp) you will work collaboratively with caterpillar and the dealer teams in the anzp region.
this role is created to accelerate and drive velocity into the caterpillar’s bcp business. you will forecast and manage machine inventory levels to meet market needs enabling us to ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time. someone in this role should be comfortable with managing dealer s&op relations, assisting and coaching team members and business partners with data driven solutions, planning new product introductions and inventory phase outs (pipo), and developing a variety of marketing and pricing analytics needed to support the business.
ongoing responsibilities include assisting the team with the development of machine sales & operations planning, supporting business planning needs, new product introductions, generating monthly reports, assistance with regional training events and retail growth plan support.
responsibilities include but not limited to:
short & long-term dealers’ bcp machine forecast to order process through the dpa to ensure 3mos and top quartile dealer inventory management forecast accuracy.
dpa champion supporting, training (when required), analysing, and reporting for internal stakeholders and dealer bcp sales & marketing teams.
organisation of the regional mbr, anzp demand review, global pre s&op meetings, incl. preparation of material, analysis, set of recommendations (inc. model mix disaggregation) and follow-up on the execution of resulting action items with the industry teams and bcp product groups. anzp participation in the board s&op when required.
monitor and manage dealers’ orders vs. forecast to realign the orders pattern with the forecast / sales’ one; communicated and collaborated both the stf and ltf with regional sales and marketing team in alignment to yearly plans.
velocity support to the dealers (anzp), incl. bom & pdc opportunities, monthly update
lane 3 subjective allocations based on pipeline gap and urgent/strategic deals
lead the monthly prioritisation of oor working hand-in-hand with industry team, demand planning teams, and commercial teams to prioritize orders based on customer / dealer needs
management of the special ordering programmes (e.g. bom, rental orders/forecast) communicating with anzp dealers, industry teams, product groups and plants
ensure dealers maintain 3.0 mos in inventory and maintain the proper inventory pipeline and forecasts needed to achieve their business plan pins and stu targets.
bcp npi coordination which includes:
coordination of upcoming npi with the new s&op timelines, incl. bcp npi plan management, coordination of pipo, unconstrained stu forecast and one forecast release, mos set-up, npi table management and general letters review
collaborate with internal business partners to develop forecasting initiatives and streamline processes i.e. rental team
lead mos dealer collaboration
additional s&op responsibilities as needed to support the dealers and regional team.
