as a sales manager, you will drive the sales performance of analytical sales, process automation measurement & analytics (pama), specifying and implementing effective sales and business development initiatives in line with global strategy.

you will be responsible for aggressively and profitably growing abb’s analytical market share in the united states. motivate and manage the usa analytics sales team and channel partner activity with a focus on customers, applications and success. meet targets, exceed customer expectations and assist abb in meeting the potential of the usa market.

your responsibilities

manage and drive all aspects of us analytics sales. includes motivating/managing sales team, challenging and collaborating with channel partners and engaging customers. responsible to meet / exceed the specific analytical product sales targets for the uslead and motivate abb sales specialists to meet and exceed targets and properly engage customers. effectively manage the us analytics sales funnel in sfdc (salesforce.com) to effectively create and track opportunitiescollaborate with us service team to ensure we are servicing our installed base and creating opportunities from it. provide monthly sales forecasting for the us business including product and service salesmanage marketing efforts for the us including trade show participation and marketing spend to maximize benefit to customers and abb. evaluate the marketplace for trends and opportunities for our products and services and create a strategy based on potential and current situationparticipate in weekly/monthly cadence calls and quarterly reviews to report and deliver on business plans, developmental efforts, opportunities and results. deliver “voice of customer” feedback to the pmu’s (product manufacturing unit​) and product management team to ensure our products and solutions consistently have the best value proposition in the marketact as a bridge between the factories and the industry and channel sales teams. collaborate and align with instrumentation sales manager to coordinate an effective go to market strategy and present a one abb team to customerswork with channel management team to constantly evaluate and challenge our go to market strategy and ensure we have a strong and effective channel partner strategy. support the lbu (local business unit​) fes (front end sales​) team core values. safety & integrity, teamwork, passion, initiative, resilience and customer empathy



your background

bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years' experience in sales, channel partners and distribution, preferably in analytics business; or associate's degree, preferably in a technical field, and 8years' experience in sales, channel partners and distribution, preferably in analytics business; or high scholl diploma and 10 years' experience in sales, channel partners and distribution, preferably in analytics business.open to travel about 50%preferred qualifications: solid understanding of analytical technology and markets. intense competitor knowledge; passion for selling and winning.ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies that improve efficiency and lead to winning. ability to develop relationships at all levels in abb, our channel partners and our end users (from field personnel to corner office).obsessive focus on end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers.leverage your existing relationships in the industry to bring new selling opportunities to abb. resilience to overcome all forms of challenges.candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the usa.
