the role reports to the production development manager and is located in pinetops, north carolina.
we are looking for a person with basics knowledge in lean tools, with a wide vision in processes, and with a strong commitment with the tasks assigned in order to improve production. it’s mandatory the focus on problem solving using tools and methods such as dmaic.
your responsibilities
lean tools: know lean tools that can be applied to our processes, detect improvement opportunities, implement and propose method/work changes, help operator in each process (visual instructions, kanbans, muda, 5 whys, etc)specific focus on visual management (visual factory)processes: detect and propose improvements over the processes in order to guarantee the quality for our internal and external customers. develop action plansquality: work with quality team to facilitate the product conformance, according to internal workinstructions, specifications and controlssafety: be aware for the safety all over the factory. each improvement and change must be done according to the safety procedures of abb
your background
studying mechanical, electromechanical or industrial engineeringgood communicational & writing skills. teamworkms office knowledgeanalytical and organized with good planning skillsgpa 3.0 pluscurrently enrolled in a degree program in the usmust be currently authorized to work for abb in the us
