enterprise data remediation (edr) team members are an important part of the overall data management framework. edr provides support to first line of defense (line of business and functional support teams) partners responding to governmental, legal, and other urgent demand to design and implement solutions for collecting, managing, and consuming data.

the edr team provides four key functions to support the enterprise data remediation mission:

• support for data issue prioritization

• data issue triage & disposition

• data issue assessment & solution design

• data issue remediation (solution implementation)

primary responsibilities within this role includes:lead medium and high priority data issue remediation efforts for risk and regulatory reporting requirements, business data needs and business processes that impact the enterprise.lead in depth analysis and assessment of medium and high priority data issues, understanding the impact of each issue to risk and regulatory reports.drive the design of near term solutions where appropriate. solutions may require solving for a combination of policy and process gaps, designing new tools / systems or enhancing existing tools or systems, enhancing or correcting reporting logic, modifying data feeds, and/or correcting or enhancing data controls. while ensuring that near term and long term solutions satisfy both the needs and requirements of the regulators, and the data needs and strategy of wells fargo.drive the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate.collaborate with stakeholders (including but not limited to technology partners) to define requirements and drive the implementation of solutions that resolve data issues, meet business needs, and satisfy regulatory requirements (where applicable).establish and maintain relationships with partners across line of business, data sponsors, enterprise data governance, technology, operations, risk, finance, and project teams leveraging the traded products data.autonomously execute assessments or remediation plans as dictated by management, or collaborate with a team aligned against the same goals.develop and lead programs, initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activitiesdesign and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gapsanalyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are metidentify data quality metrics and executes data quality audits to benchmark the state of data qualityadhere to data governance standards and proceduresdevelop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issuesdevelop and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sourceslead project teams and mentor less experienced staff membersdrive planning and coordination on low to medium sized remediation efforts, acting as central point of contactleverage domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution designconsult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibilityparticipate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategiesprovide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leadersrequired qualifications, us:4+ years of data management, business analysis, analytics, project management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4+ years of business systems analysis or design experience desired qualifications:extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysisstrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

5+ years of banking industry experience4+ years of consultative business analysis experience4+ years of experience with waterfall and agile project methodologiesability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communicationsknowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management2+ years of experience with sas or sql, or other data management, reporting and query tools5+ years of experience in one (or a combination) of disciplines relevant to the following data domain(s) / lobs / products:commercial lendingretail lending (origination through liquidation)credit card, mortgage, auto, personal loansdeposit-payment-treasury managemententerprise functions:credit risk, legal, marketing, human resources, regulatory reportingwealth & investment mgmt (wim),corporate & investment banking (cib) we value diversity
