wells fargo is seeking senior lead control management officers to lead strategy control activities within strategy, digital, and innovation (sdi). the senior officer is accountable to the sdi control executive and sdi business leaders for ensuring the business consistently implements front line risk and control programs, including regulatory and enterprise risk programs.

in this role, you will:act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business linesmonitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise functionlead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, it systems security, and business process managementprovide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operationslead and mentor control management project or virtual teamsengage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirementsrequired qualifications, us:7+ years of risk management or financial services industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationdesired qualifications:ability to proactively identify risks and controls associated with enterprise strategy & innovation programs, initiatives, and partnerships across wells fargodemonstrated experience working with business and function heads on process-centric control management activities, utilizing industry best practicesability to independently lead risk and control assessments ('manager control assessments' (mca)), issue remediation, compliance assessment, governance routines, and other risk-aligned and support activitiesexperience evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; additional experience analyzing business and/or systems changes to determine impactexcellent time management skills; work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesprior financial services, internal/external audit, compliance, and/or operational risk experiencea team player that is inclusive and inquisitive in learning about the current businesses and needs and can quickly provide rich insight into the overall strategic environmentability to understand complex risk management requirements while also understanding process implications and translating them for the businessexperience with and/or knowledge of blockchain innovation, distributed ledger technologies (dlts), decentralized autonomous organizations (daos), cryptocurrencies, web3, digital assets, decentralized finance (defi) products, programs, and concepts preferredexperience with and/or knowledge of fintech/start-up industry environment and partnerships development preferredjob expectations:a team player that is inclusive and inquisitive in learning about the current business and can quickly provide rich insight into the overall risk profilelead risk and control self-assessments (rcsa) to ensure the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of the business controlsbuild and maintain partnerships with the business, corporate risk, audit, legal, and regulatorsproactively lead business and function heads on the development of strategic problem-solving and industry best practicesidentify evolving risk trends, understand implications for businesses, and develop and write effective controlsdefine reporting requirements and periodic monitoring of risk through measurement of kpis/metrics/okrsengage in investment planning process to ensure that regulatory commitments are captured in enterprise and business strategy and innovation prioritiesdevelop presentations, control updates, business reviews and other documents for senior management, by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing disparate data from business partnersexcellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal); ability to concisely articulate complex concepts in a clear manner we value diversity
