your responsibilities

- ensure payments are processed

- document all customer payments to the right reports

- attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

- head all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

- process bankruptcy filings correctly when received

- abide by all rules and regulations established by the federal fair credit reporting act

- identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment

- act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

- maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity- effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses

- previous experience using accounting software

- commercial collections experience required

- credit collections experience preferred

- accounts receivable (ar) experience

- collecting payments experience desired

- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- aa or bs/ba in accounting preferred

- 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
