major responsibilities

- complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed

- use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports

- use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents

- reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts

- file vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file a/p invoices to support accounts payable

- help with g/l account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects

- process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support accounts receivable

- post financial information to journals and ledgers- administrative assistance experience

- accounts payable (ap) experience

- proficiency in customer invoices

- accounts receivable (ar) experience

- familiar with spreadsheet and erp system

- data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

- ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

- aa or bs/ba in accounting or related field preferred
