summary of role:

global foundries is looking for an engineer with a desire to develop a thorough working knowledge of the complex systems and equipment required to build cleanrooms, supporting utility systems, including chemical, toxic, and inert gas systems as well as installation of advanced manufacturing tools.         

essential responsibilities include:

optimize equipment placement for space, flexibility, cost, constructability develop, qa/qc, publish equipment layouts to tool install design and construction conduct field walks and accurately transfer as-built measurements and observation to design drawings coordinate with system engineers, technicians and other contactors to incorporate as-builts, concepts and projects into master drawings communicate work, highlight and resolve issues/concerns/conflicts with stakeholders exercise initiative and creativity within limits of job scope interface with cross functional stakeholders and peers

perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all environmental, health, safety & security requirements and programsqualification:

required qualifications:

education:  bachelors degree or higher in engineering discipline  experience: 2-4 years of direct layout, facility design, tool install, or equipment engineering experience including new construction and startup proficient in autocad to develop, review, and optimize facility layouts ability to comprehend and understand tool install design documents and drawing packages

preferred qualifications:

experience in the semiconductor industry excellent communication skills, both verbal and written  demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously paces work and execution of commitments to meet business needs ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met team player and desire to work in dynamic, fast paced environment
