our client is looking for an assistant construction manager to assist the construction project manager with daily management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, field-based activities, and other duties required.
previous education and experience required
• collaborate with project team to mitigate issues and achieve seamless execution
• interface and work with client’s project management leadership team to provide regular, timely updates
• coordinate construction resources and testing resources for project execution
• work with project controls to maintain project schedule and cost forecast
• monitor and manage project scope
• travel: 10%
qualifications/skills:
bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited curriculum. minimum of 5 years of experience in project management related to the electrical utility industry. experience with voltages (34.5kv to 500kv) experience within the following disciplines: transmission line, network, substation experience managing 10+ projects concurrently of varying sizes ($100k-$10m+) project management professional (pmp) certification is a plus but not mandatory.please e-mail [email available when viewing the job] for more information about this opportunity.
