female carer required for a lady who requires assistance with personal care in the mornings and to assist with meal preparation and light household duties in the afternoon. the ideal candidate should have experience within the care sector, and may want to use this position to boost their current earnings within their current caring job. it is essential that the carer be able to build a positive and caring rapport with their client and her spouse; and to help support her positive mental health in a gentle and respectful way.
this can be a permanent position, for the suitable candidate/s. the position is a split shift basis, morning 9.30 - 10pm, 7 days a week, this is flexible to 15 minutes earlier start if required and afternoon. the duties primarily include provision of support with personal care for a lady with mild dementia, relevant experience in this area would be desirable. the afternoon call would be at 4pm - 6pm includes help with house work and evening meal preparation, there is also some flexibility in these times.
details of exact hours and duties can all be discussed further at an interview. the position can be shared between two carers and the carer should be prepared to cover annual leave if needed.
relevant previous experience working in the care sector is required. this post would suit someone who is looking to work directly with the family and not an agency. living locally is required.
a northern ireland police check will also be required, if you do not have this it can be done on acceptance of the position prior to commencing work.
