about me:
i am a sociable young man who is new to the area. i am looking for help at home with meal planning, cooking, some admin and keeping my flat clean and tidy. i would like someone who is able to help me find and plan activities in the community and support me where necessary, including attending appointments. i enjoy cooking, sports, films , sci-fi, cinema, and lego building. i can transfer from my wheelchair to a car seat and would prefer someone with their own car. i need someone who is able to push my manual wheelchair when out of the house and dismantle it to stow away in a car as necessary.
i would prefer someone with their own car. i can transfer to a car seat from my wheelchair.
if you don’t have a car, then i would need someone who was able to help me explore appropriate alternative methods of transport, including assisting me to use public transport where necessary.
hours : 12 hours a week. ideally split over 3 days between the times of 11.00 and 16.00 mon to fri, but can be flexible.
rate: £11 p/h
ideal candidate
an ideal candidate would be patient, reliable, have a good sense of humour, enjoy cooking and be able to use their own initiative. must be physically able to manage a manual wheelchair. experience in similar roles desirable but not essential. a non car driver would need to be able to support me to use alternative methods of transport.
