about the position:
the staff accountant position is a very involved and exciting position. the ideal candidate will be working to set up new tenants, positing daily charges and handling checks/wires/bank transfers! if you meet the qualifications listed below – apply now!
responsibilities / duties:
update of property tracker
post manual checks/wires/bank transfers
bank and tenant reconciliations
review general ledgers for misclassifications
create and post journal entries
post monthly lease charges - create new billing aging reports
analyze miscellaneous a/r - balance to gl
input/post monthly reimbursements for postage, etc.
quarterly/annual lender reporting
assist with annual budgets and change tenant lease charges as required
assist with annual common area maintenance changes - post charges/credits when completed/approved
post semi-annual property taxes paid
assist with posting check scan batches when needed (crunch time).
experience / qualifications:
accounting/bookkeeping background (5+ years)
heavy excel experience
experience working in real estate or property management a plus!
working knowledge of yardi is heavily desired
