a rare opportunity to live and work at a historic house in sussex.
this is a live-in position to manage the grounds and undertake general maintenance and repairs on the estate when required. the role demands flexibility regarding working hours throughout busy periods, especially during the growing season. a can-do attitude and proactive mindset are also crucial.
the successful candidate will be self-motivated, willing to take responsibility and be committed to high standards. you will ideally have experience of working outdoors and have a high degree of organisation and mechanical knowledge. duties also include security of house and grounds, dog walking and presence on-site when the owner is away.
no formal qualifications are required but you must have relevant experience, be physically fit and have good maintenance / diy skills. flexibility, initiative and reliability are essential.
a full driving licence is required for occasional airport runs.
