part-time / saturday job - crunchy carrot (community carrot ltd)

shop assistant / occasional driver

flexible, part-time hours of approx. 2 days / week

£9 per hour, increasing in april in line with legislation. staff receive a 20% discount on shop goods.

duties would include:

• serving customers

• stocking shelves

• making up orders

• dealing with the public

• answering the phone

• occasionally driving and delivering in the local area

• lifting and moving goods and boxes

• helping to maintain a clean and safe environment

skills required:

• good communication and people skills

• able to interact calmly and respectfully with the public

• able to take instruction and direction regarding tasks

• working within a small team in a busy environment, this means helping and relying on each other to ensure the shift runs smoothly

• be able to use your initiative and prioritise tasks as required

• good timekeeping

this busy high street shop requires an enthusiastic person who will fit in with our ethos. we’re a community-owned shop aimed at promoting sustainability, with a passion for great food and where it comes from. the shop can be physically demanding and would require a good level of general fitness.

the successful person will be required to have a clean driving licence.

there will be a paid trial month.
