3rd shift sanitation - united states, wheeling

adecco is searching for a sanitation associate for a warehouse in wheeling, il. this sanitation position will be responsible for providing quality and efficient sanitation, janitorial and general maintenance support for a logistics center in wheeling, il.

this position is responsible for cleaning the equipment, floors, walls, ceiling, and other parts of the production facility.

essential functions

responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment and departments.

must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the sanitation procedures manual.

responsible for compliance with gmp’s, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.

responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, always steal toed boots and safety googles/face shield.

must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

must become familiar with cleaning chemicals by name, function, and usage rate and become chemical certified.

must be able to follow verbal instructions from supervisor.

must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.

ambient temperatures in the production areas are between 40°f and 45°f.

basic qualifications

experience using a variety of equipment including a power washer.

previous sanitation experience.

competencies

ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures a variety of instructions, diagrams, or schedules.

ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

physical demands

while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. the employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. the employee will work regularly in wet and slippery conditions. the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.

the sanitation team works 3rd shift (usually 11:00pm-7:30am)
