full time - 9am-5pm monday to friday

our client are opening a brand new residential & nursing care home in bridlington and are looking to recruit an administrative assistant reporting directly to the care home manager.

applicants must have at least two years’ experience working in a care home or as a pa, preferably with some medical or care experience.

our client, set in the coastal seaside town of bridlington will provide residential care for elderly members of the community, those with dementia and those needing end of life care.

the role

to manage the administrative procedures within the home as directed by the home manager.

key responsibilities

support the home manager and the wide team with administrative tasks as directed by the home manager. follow statutory procedures relating to email correspondence & post. maintain the care home’s filing system.
manage procurement including purchase ledger, raising, reconciliation and payment of invoices & credits. manage petty cash.
manage residents billing accounts and ensure they are accurate and up to date. any outstanding balances to be collected.
support employees by keeping records of training requirements, ordering uniforms, ensuring employment details are kept up to date, recording absences, induction programme for new starters, timesheets are kept and shared with home manager and input into payroll system.
assist home manager and wider teams with recruitment.
receive residents/visitors to the home in a pleasant and efficient manner. ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed upon arrival, staff notified, visitor accompanied, as necessary.
maintain the reception area ensuring it is always tidy, creates a positive impression and has up to date statutory & social information available, this includes the staff noticeboard, the ‘who’s who’ board and posters about forthcoming events.
be the first point of contact for telephone & email enquiries. deal with the calls/emails in an effective and timely manner with confidentiality.
build & maintain excellent relationships with residents, their families, staff, professional service providers and other visitors.
monitor any on-site contractors.
promote home to potential customers, appropriate authorities and colleagues in a pleasant, caring and professional manner. manage the social media platforms associated with our client
