recruiting and organising volunteer drivers and befrienders.
primary responsibilities:
1. to assess clients requests for transport and/or befriending and organise a volunteer to complete the task.
2. to record activities and contacts in order to monitor and evaluate the service.
internal reporting
the coordinator will report to the board of trustees at meetings usually every two months.
external contacts:
1. clients of the charity
2. fife health and social care partnership.
3. fife voluntary action and other charities and social groups.
4. volunteer scotland disclosure service.
person specification
ability to engage and relate to people in population in need of help and support.
relevant qualifications:
communications skills:
1. ability to meet face to face, by phone, digitally with clients. understand their request and resolve the problem
it skills:
1. basic use of ms windows or ios, email, phone messaging
additional attributes:
1. confidence in handling clients firmly and sympathetically
2. patience
3. ability to work on own from home
salary and benefits
