our client are now looking for an enthusiastic junior cabinet maker, who is at the beginning of their cabinet maker career, to join a supportive team who will help build up these skills and experiences.

who are you?

have either; some practical experience in a related field (carpentry, joinery, construction, diy, electrician etc)

or

recently completed a qualification in a related field (nvq, btech, diploma, t level, city & guilds etc).
have the ability to visualise and understand technical drawings.
quick at learning new practical skills
capable and confident using machinery, equipment and tools.
pro-active with a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn.
willing to take on responsibilities as the role grows.
have the ability to work to deadlines.

your daily responsibilities will include:

assembling cabinet/wooden carcasses
assist senior cabinet makers
read & understand production drawings
fitting hardware, sanding & preparing for spraying
provide general assistance and support where required in the manufacturing process
consistently carry out quality checks at every stage of manufacture and correct any problems
work on a wide range of items such as cabinets, tables, kitchens, bedrooms, boardroom furniture, reception desks, bars, panelled rooms, audio-visual units, studies etc
join installation teams on site when required
ensure company health & safety policies are adhered to
responsible for the upkeep and wearing of ppe
assist in keeping your work space clean & tidy
flexible approach to working hours to ensure deadline are met
available to occasionally work overtime (overtime rates paid)
