about this client/child:

anna (4) is a gorgeous and happy little girl with the biggest smile. she loves cuddles, spending time with her parents and younger sister. she just started attending a primary school twice a week, which she really enjoys. anna sustained a severe brain injury which resulted in cerebral palsy, dystonia and fluctuating tone, sight impairment and microcephaly. she is hoisted for all transfers. anna is non-verbal, she communicates using facial expression, vocalisation and is just starting to explore using eye pointing. her medication, fluids and feeds are administered via peg. anna requires 2:1 care at all times.

overview of role:

we are looking for friendly, caring, and experienced support workers to provide 2:1 care and support to anna with her daily routine before and after school. you will be assisting with all aspects of daily tasks, medical needs, personal care, explore new hobbies and interests, plan and organize activities and accessing the community. you will attend therapy sessions with anna and implement her therapy programme into daily routine. some light housekeeping duties will be required. part of the role will be also facilitating play with anna’s little sister.

days and hours available: school term: monday to friday 7.00am to 10.00am and 3.00pm to 8.30pm, saturday and sunday: 8.30am to 8.30pm. school holidays: monday to sunday 8.30am to 8.30pm. please contact us with your availability.
