we are looking for a head chef or senior / sous chef. archie’s is a buzzy neighborhood bistro and event space in archway. we serve up killer coffee, brunch and lunch seven days a week. our passion for food, design and music is reflected in our seasonal, quality ingredients; colourful, plant-filled interiors and lovingly-curated playlists. we are popular with local customers and were nominated in the time out love local awards 2021
we have a large kitchen with lots of space and willing to invest further into it for the right chef.
we are looking for an energetic, creative head chef or senior / sous chef who can lead and inspire a 4 man kitchen team (2 x cdps / 2 x kps). we have a 50 cover restaurant, including outside seating. we run a number of events throughout the year with our private hire menus and have a seasonal all day brunch menu, updating several times throughout the year. we are looking at second sites to open in 2022 / 23.

- full or part time work. for a full-time salary we can offer £27,000-35,000 / year

what we are looking for:
- at least 5 years working in a commercial kitchens in a senior position
- ability to produce food at the pass in a consistent and professional manner, working well with foh staff
- be cool and calm under pressure,
- management of 5 person kitchen team
- ordering, stock rotation, wastage management
- computer literacy, knowledge of excel and rota management
- menu development, including accurate costing of all dishes
- relationship building with our suppliers as well as daily checking of correct food deliveries
- help with recruitment, as and when necessary
- run a tight ship where people enjoy working and continue to improve
