Evening bakery packers - united kingdom, portslade, east sussex

the flour pot bakery is based in portslade and we require a committed and hardworking packer / assistant to help the baking team.

this is a part time position and the role is 3-4 evening per week, and is hourly paid

your duties will involve assisting in the following:

assisting the pastry / viennoiserie team in their work by ensuring all baking tins are washed and ready to use, dough mixers cleaned and ready to use.
keeping all areas clean and tidy, some general washing up required
packing all shop orders accurately. this requires real attention to detail, reading off packing lists correctly, ensuring everything is packed exactly according to the lists
slicing breads (on occasion)
labeling
organising and cleaning

we are looking for someone that fits these criteria:

hard working and highly organised

physically able to carry out the duties as some lifting will be required

have a great attention to detail

meet deadline efficiently

excellent command of written and spoken english as a large part of the role will rely on this.

this is a great opportunity to work in a busy artisan kitchen and bakery, and we would expect you to have bags of enthusiasm and energy. availability to work at weekends is expected. you must have your own transport or be able to get here easily by public transport. the potential to learn other skills for the right applicant could well be available to the right candidates
