we are looking for a cdp to join our small, skilled and passionate team. the cdp would work under the head chef and sous chef and with the support of two commis chefs.
we are looking for someone to join us in producing fantastic food and to also learn along the way. the role would include a mixture of service and prep work as well as being able to contribute creatively to the ever changing seasonal menu.
the rota is flexible and would include a mixture of single and double shifts totalling 48 hours per week. we place great emphasis on our staff having a happy work/life balance so we make sure that 48 hours per week means 48 hours per week.
the orchard has been open since 2009 and has established itself a reputation for high quality dishes made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. the cdp would be expected to work alongside a senior chef on busy services and be able to run quieter services early in the week.
we make almost everything from scratch in our kitchen so there is daily prep work as well as lunch and dinner services to cover. we work with excellent suppliers and change our menu every 12 weeks with the seasons.
we have an open plan kitchen so you can see the restaurant floor, communicate easily with the foh team and see the world outside. we have 60 covers and are open seven days a week serving brunch, lunch and dinner.
