about this client:

mike is an outgoing and sociable 33-year-old gentleman. he loves sport, especially football, cricket and horseracing; he is a member of hampshire cricket club, crawley fc and kempton racecourse. he attends white lodge day centre to meet with his friends, has regular hydrotherapy sessions and enjoys having busy life. mike has cerebral palsy that affects his mobility and speech. he is verbal and while he has a speech impairment, you will get to understand mike well once you get to know him. he uses a rollator walker to walk around his home and manual wheelchair when out in the community.

overview of role:

mike is looking for a reliable, caring and conscientious support worker who will join his team and enable him to live independently in his own home and pursue all the interests and activities he enjoys. mike lives in a 3-bedroom house and your role will be to assist him with all daily tasks, provide personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping duties. you’ll accompany mike to his appointments and errands. there are 48 hours per week 12-hour day shifts followed by a sleeping night. days worked can be flexible and will be discussed with the successful candidate. there will be an opportunity to cover annual leave and staff sickness. £15.00 gross per hour weekdays, £16.00 gross per hour weekends and £90.00 gross per hour for the night.
