responsibilities:

the registered nurse (rn) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. duties include: assess mental health needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide consistent therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.

 

qualifications

education: graduate of an accredited college of nursing. bsn or bs preferred. specialty certification also preferred.

experience: minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred

age-specific competencies: child, adolescent, adult and geriatric (as unit requires).

licensure/certification: current sc rn license or an rn license from a compact state required; cpr/cpi certification required
