heinzmann uk is an independent manufacturer and worldwide supplier of fuel control and other systems used on gas turbines and reciprocating engines.

we are looking for an experienced individual with good manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail to join the team as an electrical technician.

we now have an opportunity for an electrical technician to join and develop within our friendly team in middlesbrough. the successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated with a good attention to detail and, of course, quality.

we offer:

starting salary: circa £25,000.
generous sick pay (after a qualification period).
5 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays.
4 ½ day working week (half day on friday).

about the electrical technician role:

you will learn to quickly assemble/build our range of specialist products from sub assembly to fully assembled systems.
you will learn to repair and overhaul our range of products working as part of a small, motivated team within an iso 9001:2015 and atex quality environment.
you will contribute to the development and maintenance of high levels of working practice and housekeeping.

while experience in a similar assembly and repair role would be advantageous - you will be provided with hands on training and product familiarisation at our manufacturing facility in middlesbrough.

we are a dynamic manufacturing organisation, therefore we require someone who will be happy to work flexibly to accommodate day-to-day challenges and be able to work independently as well as part a small team.

skills you will have (or be be keen to develop) include:

assembly of small to medium sized high-precision mechanical assemblies.
assembly of small electronic assemblies.
assembly of products including mechanical and electrical/electronic assemblies.
a basic understanding of software code

soldering, wiring, cable termination and crimping.
precision measuring and testing.
