Renewables technical sales manager - united kingdom, scotland

renewable technical sales manager required for an established renewable energy developer's edinburgh office with remote or flexible working. within the role, you would secure new business within the renewable and low carbon sector through the production of business cases with an emphasis on commercial solar. business development experience within the renewables sector would be highly beneficial.

salary: 40k - 50k negotiable, depending on experience.

the main duties of the role fall within:

* sales planning including setting short, medium and long term sales goals & targets in line with the company's strategic aims whilst recording and tracking sales using a crm and researching clients.

* business development including identifying and prospecting new clients to increase business via networking and relationship building.

* customer retention with the development of proposals for new products to meet customer needs whilst maintaining existing client relationships

* securing sales including carrying out initial surveys at client sites to collect technical data to produce budget proposals and business case that communicate relevant details of client needs & objectives whilst highlighting cost, timescale and other deliverables

* reporting by submitting progress & performance reports against key performance indicators (kpis)

skills and experience:

* business development experience in renewables or similar technical area

* demonstrable success in sourcing new business and growing client base

* technical qualifications advantageous

* ability to prepare bid & tender submissions

* uk driving license
